Le Petit Versailles is a NYC public community garden in the East Village that presents a season of events including art exhibitions, music, film/video, performance, theater, workshops and community projects from May - October. Episode #10 Synopsis
This week we're back visiting ART!
Exhibitions include a multitude of mediums for "Weathering the Storm"(2002) from Larry Shea's "Well Wishing" to
On Akiyoshi " Massing TARA Bodhisattva in Clouds". Of course there is Shih Chieh Huang "Organic Concept" spiraling air -filled tube that fills the garden like a snake and Tamara Wyndham "Holy Words" too!
Then we zoom forward to 2005 with "Nests" - glass constructions by Elizabeth Hamby and the multimedia installations with video projections, original music & audience participation of "Organized Color Intoxication" by Jonathan Zalben and Amoeba Technology in conjunction with Fetes de la Lumiere (Paris).
Then a Free workshops instructing basic bookbinding & papermaking with Ethan Shoshan during his exhibition “Fruits of Labor” .
Finally a brief look at " PLOT " LPV's garden 'zine published in 2004 & now available at Printed Matter and the garden!
